About the label

“Cilin”

Pottery is Brandon Lin's life. Under his direction, Nobel Ceramic Tiles swept the China market in 2000. Today majority of Starbucks ceramic mugs sold worldwide comes from his factory. Aside from these striking achievements, he relentlessly pursues the goal to mass-manufacture artisan pottery and ushered in the design label, Cilin.

In 1973, following his father’s footsteps, he apprenticed to master the craft of pottery making. Father and son founded Concord Pottery. Now, Brandon Lin’s most treasured procession is none other than his late father’s many manuscripts. One indicated that Father’s intended brand name, Taolin, was preempted. Cilin, a synonym of Taolin came about during a recent naming process. Instantly, Brandon Lin perceived it as the most meaningful way to honor his father with. Cilin takes off carrying Father’s dreams. Brandon Lin is committed to perpetuate pottery heritage.

Asserting our ceramic tradition, Cilin creates works of grandeur.
